History
The teaching and learning of History at Manor Primary School aims to foster a genuine interest and instil a life-long passion for History. It aims to equip children with skills that are specific to History that can be developed through the use of first-hand experiences such as visits, visitors, handling artefacts, examining sources, storytelling, role play and drama.
The children have the opportunity to delve into and gain a real insight into the past. Creative historical experiences have raised the profile of History and generated a sense of real passion and enjoyment of the subject. This can be seen throughout the whole school as children want to explore and construct a picture of the past and further their journey into History.
