Our original East Park 8 were created in September 2017 by children, staff and parents working together to decide the values and qualities we aspire our children to embody during their years at our school:

Creativity, Self-belief, Respect, Perseverance, Resilience, Honesty, Independence and Collaboration. These values are embedded within our school culture and are celebrated during our weekly Friday praise assembly with stars of the week being awarded to children who have demonstrated an East Park 8 value during the week.

In September 2020, we revisited these 8 values and qualities and explored with our children and staff if they should remain the same or whether changes were needed to reflect the changes that had taken place during the past 3 years. After lots of discussion, our updated East Park 8 were launched:

During the Autumn term 2022, all school stakeholders created our vision for our 'End of Year 6 East Parker' and we ensured that our East Park 8 values were a golden thread throughout this.

​

In January 2023, we began an in-depth look at our East Park 8 taking half a term to focus on each value. During each half term we celebrated our values by hosting a whole school focus day led by our Junior Leadership Team.
